3 year Industrial phd program
Brunjulf Mortensen Cand. Scient, has received funding from the Danish Agency for Science Technology and Innovation for a 3 year Industrial phd program.
The project aims to identify the impact of birth weight, physical inactivity and exercise on the humane skeletal muscle metabolism with focus on the AMPK system and downstream key proteins by studying a T2DM high-risk group and a group of control subjects exposed for markedly reduced daily physical activity, acute exercise and a period of strictly controlled regular physical activity.
This project is collaboration between Steno Diabetes Center, Gentofte (professor, Allan Vaag) and the Molecular Physiology Group at IFI, Copenhagen (Professor, Jørgen Wojtaszewski).
