Movement educational scientist assumes international office

Charlotte Svendler Nielsen re-elected as research officer for "Dance and the Child International"

Assistant professor in movement education, Dept. of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Dr. Charlotte Svendler Nielsen has been re-elected as research officer for 2012-2015 in the international dance educational and UNESCO affiliated organisation Dance and the Child International (daCi).

Charlotte Svendler Nielsen also chairs the scientific program of the Global Dance Summit organized as a cooperation between Dance and the Child International, World Dance Alliance and Taipei National University of the Arts (Taiwan) 14th-20th July 2012.

The conference marks the 30th anniversary of daCi conferences.  The anniversary will be marked with the publication of the anthology ”Dance and the Child International’s First 30 Years: Rich Returns” co-edited by Charlotte Svendler Nielsen and professors Ann Kipling-Brown, University of Regina, Canada and Mary-Elizabeth Manley, University of York, Canada.

The anthology will be published during the conference in Taipei July 2012.
