Research groups
Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences is subdivided into research groups, each specified in a particular field.
The department currently holds 5 research groups with a total of 77 academic staff members. The research areas mainly covers human physiology and human and social sciences in relation to sport.

The August Krogh Centre idea was fostered by researchers associated with Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, Department of Biology, and The Natural History Museum of Denmark.
