Scandinavian women's football goes global

A cross-national study of sports labour migration as challenge and opportunity for Nordic civil society

How do globalization, professionalization and migration processes influence the Nordic civil society model of sport based on local associations, volunteer labour and a strong civil integration?

This question will be addressed through this research project by considering the current immigration of professional players from abroad to Scandinavian women's football. The research project consists of three studies that aim at developing Nordic research in sports and globalization, sports club management and sports labor migration, respectively.
